O Lord and giver of life, who hovered over the face of the deep, who animated our first parents, who gives life to all his image bearers, who sustains our common life together, who grants new life to all his people through the gospel, we pray that you might move mightily to preserve the life of unborn image bearers.
We pray that you might protect them in the womb by softening the hearts of men and women whether they find themselves in distress, public pressure, or tempted to take advantage of an evil system by taking the life of an unborn human.
Great physician, who raised the dead and healed the sick, move the hearts and minds of physicians, who have taken a pledge to do no harm, to fulfill their oath.
King of All, open the eyes of law makers and judges to see that legally innocent humans have a natural right, under your moral law, to life and liberty.
Great Shepherd of the Sheep, empower your church to be patient with those who are confused and to receive sinners graciously. May those who have participated find in your church a gracious witness to your law and your gospel.
Finally, may you grant repentance and faith where they are lacking. Grant to those who who are afflicted with shame and grief the comfort of the gospel promise of forgiveness to all those who trust in Jesus, who graciously forgave those who unjustly took his life.
