The nearly 70 theologians, scientists, economists, and other scholars and leaders in our network promote, primarily through education, three things simultaneously:
- Biblical earth stewardship, or “godly dominion”—men and women made in the image of God working together to enhance the fruitfulness, beauty, and safety of the earth to the glory of God and the benefit of our neighbors;
- economic development for the world’s poor through private property rights, entrepreneurship, free trade, limited government, and the rule of law, and access to abundant, affordable, reliable energy; and
- the proclamation and defense of the gospel of Jesus Christ together with the Biblical worldview, theology, and ethics,
all in a world permeated by an environmental movement whose worldview, theology, and ethics are overwhelmingly anti-Christian, whose science and economics are often poorly done, whose policies therefore often do little good for natural ecosystems but much harm to the world’s poor, and whose religious teachings undermine the fundamental Christian doctrines of God, creation, humanity, sin, and salvation.
We conduct research; produce papers, articles, blog posts, books, videos, and podcasts on current issues related to the environment, economic development, and the Christian faith as it relates to those issues; provide speakers for churches, colleges, schools, and conferences; provide expert testimony on pending legislation and regulation for governing bodies; and advise and consult with Christian leaders from around the world.
