Bullying a Generation into Climate Groupthink

A school girl in Sweden was allegedly bullied and branded a “climate denier” by her teachers and peers after she refused to participate in the “climate strike.”

Responding to the unfair and abusive treatment of her daughter, the mother of the school girl said, “If you do not hang out on Greta Thunberg and for the climate then you should be singled out and bullied……They should at least be neutral and respect the students who do not want to skip school. There must be different ways we can relate to political issues.”

She is right. The climate group-think mentality making our society more backwards and more intolerant towards people who have a difference of opinion.

The classmates of the bullied girl, directed and brainwashed by their teachers, are now convinced that the whole climate strike movement is a critical exercise without which their world will be doomed.

In reality, the climate strike movement is nothing but a situation where students have been forced to subscribe to the climate groupthink mentality and their desperations to exaggerate the dangers of climate change.

Wikipedia defines groupthink as follows: “Groupthink is a psychological phenomenon that occurs within a group of people in which the desire for harmony or conformity in the group results in an irrational or dysfunctional decision-making outcome.”

Cannot be more definitive! The climate change doomsday mentality is large-scale groupthink phenomenon that has resulted in completely dysfunctional decision making in our political and policy institutions.

In their desperate attempts to keep the scare-mongering going, climate alarmists are now exploiting school children as vehicles to promote this mass delusion of climate catastrophe.

The ugliness of the school strike was on display in the United Kingdom, when the students protesting near the UK Parliament made derogatory remarks about the British Prime Minister Theresa May.

Do you suppose school children can take sides against a particular political party or use abusive language against a publicly respected Prime Minister without the assistance and direction of politically motivated teachers?

Climate strike is not their only means of garnering traction for the warming propaganda.

In the past two decades, skeptical scientists in academic institutions have been subjected to witch-hunting. Political leaders who disagree with their alarmist perspective have been criticized and even labelled “evil.”

But their exploitation of school students marks a new low in their despicable intolerance to opposing perspectives.

By capturing the hearts and minds of young children through climate doomsday lies and now through the well-orchestrated “school strike” movement, their indoctrination of climate alarmism in school children is nearing its completion.

The climate groupthink mentality is making an entire generation lose the art of objectively approaching matters that are of very high social and scientific importance.

Instead of applying their minds to ascertain the truthfulness of the claims about climate, they are being forced to simply consume the alarmist perspective.

Parents who oppose indoctrination are even punished by the law in some countries. We are not far from a day when climate skepticism by parents will be considered a crime, too.

The indoctrination of school children is disturbingly similar to the groupthink policies in communist regimes such as North Korea and communist China. Despite their progressive claims, many of the current players in climate alarmism are taking us back to the dark ages, which were infamous for their blanket bans on independent objective thinking.
