The REAL Climate Change Deniers

by E. Calvin Beisner

Who could ever be foolish enough to deny that climate changes? Who, that is, except those nutty people who insist that "climate change" is a recent phenomenon and therefore must be man-made and dangerous? They're the real "deniers," not those who insist that climate has always changed and that the recent changes are not unprecedented and therefore need no explanation other than the continuation of things as usual.   Image courtesy of Evgeni Dinev / FreeDigitalPhotos.net … [Read more...]

A Renewed Call to Truth, Prudence, and Protection of the Poor

by Cornwall Alliance

Read The Full A Renewed Call To Truth Prudence and Protection of the Poor (PDF) EXECUTIVE SUMMARY The world is in the grip of an idea: that burning fossil fuels to provide affordable, abundant energy is causing global warming that will be so dangerous that we must stop it by reducing our use of fossil fuels, no matter the cost.Is that idea true? We believe not. We believe that idea—we’ll call it “global warming alarmism”—fails the tests of theology, science, and economics. It rests on poor … [Read more...]

An Evangelical Declaration on Global Warming

by Cornwall Alliance

Click to read Notable Signers of "An Evangelical Declaration On Global Warming" PREAMBLE As governments consider policies to fight alleged man-made global warming, evangelical leaders have a responsibility to be well informed, and then to speak out. A Renewed Call to Truth, Prudence, and Protection of the Poor: An Evangelical Examination of the Theology, Science, and Economics of Global Warming demonstrates that many of these proposed policies would destroy jobs and impose trillions of … [Read more...]

Why the UN’s ‘Developed Countries Should Pay’ Theory Is Flawed

by Indur M. Goklany

[A]lthough greenhouse gas emissions can be blamed on nations based on the location of emission activities, these emissions are the effluvia of civilization and all its activities. In today's interconnected world, economic activity in one country helps provide livelihoods and incomes for many inhabitants elsewhere, and vice versa. A substantial portion of economic growth in developing countries is attributable to trade, remittances, tourism and direct investment from industrialized … [Read more...]

New Summary for Policymakers: Nature, Not Human Activity, Rules the Climate

by Nongovernmental International Panel on Climate Change

A panel of climate change experts calling itself the Nongovernmental International Panel on Climate Change, headed by S. Fred Singer, this week released a report that competes head-on with the Summary for Policymakers of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. The group's name highlights the fact that, contrary to common perceptions that it is an objective body of scientists, the IPCC comprises not only scientists but also government bureaucrats and policy shapers, and its Summary for … [Read more...]

From Climate Alarmism to Climate Realism

by Vaclav Klaus

Address to the International Conference on Climate Change Mr. Chairman, ladies and gentlemen, I would like first of all to thank the organizers of this important conference for making it possible and also for inviting one politically incorrect politician from Central Europe to come and speak here. This meeting will undoubtedly make a significant contribution to the moving away from the irrational climate alarmism to the much needed climate realism. I know it is difficult to say anything … [Read more...]

Humpty Dumpty Policies

by Paul Driessen

Corporate decisions affect a limited number of workers. Government policies, by contrast, affect millions. The drive to eliminate fossil fuels, switch to a CO2-free economy and prevent computer-generated climate disasters could cost countless jobs and impact families all across America. European industries are already reevaluating investment decisions and canceling projects, largely because of an increasingly strict and unpredictable regulatory climate in the EU, according to World Energy … [Read more...]

Courts Should Confront Evidence on Global Warming

by S. Fred Singer

The Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco ruled late last year that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration must consider the "risks of global warming" when setting gas-mileage standards for light trucks, minivans and SUVs. Central to the court's ruling was the claim that the federal agency, in violation of the National Environmental Policy Act, had ignored the benefits of reducing emissions of the greenhouse gas carbon dioxide. Whatever their legal acumen, Judge Betty … [Read more...]
