Is Pope Francis Contributing to Human Trafficking?

by E. Calvin Beisner

July 24, 2015

Speaking to a gathering of mayors from around the world at the Vatican July 21, Pope Francis urged action to reduce global warming, saying he particularly hopes the UN climate summit later this year will address how it “affects the trafficking of people.”

Problem #1: Human-induced climate change has not affected the trafficking of people, or even migration in general.

The one and only candidate for climate-change refugee status, a man from the island of Kiribati, just lost his case on appeal, the court determining that he faced no danger from climate by remaining where he was.

Problem #2: The actual link is not between human-induced climate change and human trafficking but between fears of human-induced climate change and human trafficking.

How’s that? Climate alarmists blame global warming on human use of fossil fuels. The more people there are, the more fossil fuels get used. Consequently, one way to reduce global warming by reducing fossil fuel use is to reduce human population—or at least to slow its growth.

Such fears are among motivations behind government family planning programs meant to reduce birth rates. And in many developing countries, they lead to sex-selection abortions: baby girls aren’t wanted so much as baby boys, so they get “terminated.”

So you wind up with a big imbalance between men and women, as in China, where about 122 males are born for every 100 women. That leaves a lot of men (about 35 million in China alone right now), with natural testosterone-driven sexual urges, unmarried.

And that raises demand for pornography and prostitution, which raises the demand for—you guessed it, human trafficking.

That’s a point Elizabeth Yore, former General Counsel at the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in Virginia, made in a presentation (on video here) at The Heartland Institute’s climate science and policy event outside the Vatican on April 28, 2015. If Pope Francis had listened to her instead of overpopulation and climate scaremongers Jeffrey Sachs, Ban-Ki Moon, and Hans Joachim Schelnhuber, he might not have made this foolish, and tragic, error.

I.e., human-induced climate change doesn’t lead to human trafficking.

But fears of it—fears Pope Francis is spreading—do.

    Professor Beisner,
I commend you for your efforts to lead the evangelical scholars on this crucial matter. I am in support of what you are doing for the sake of the Kingdom of God and the Gospel. We need to wake up to the reality of protecting the environs that sustain us and be good stewards.
    Cheers

Thye current Pope still has unanswered questions regarding the “Dissapeared” in his native Country but that is far less disturbing than his wholesale support of supposed man made climate change.

This radical Left wing Marxist invention has been furthered by self appointed scientists such as Paleontologist turned Climate Guru in Australia Tim Flannery and others across the world where there are two main driving forces Money in a selfish greed based fashion and more dangerous the manipulation of what Joseph Stalin once called “Useful Idiots” to roll out an agenda of Marxist Fascism via the United Nations and it’s hanger on NGO’s.

Take for example Christina Figueres whose background is a family of Marxists, She exposed the truth a few months back admitting it is all about wealth rredistribution not climate.
That actually means in real world terms Taking Money from Poor People in Rich Countries and giving it to Rich People in Poor Countries.

Never underestimate the United Nations and it’s Treachery for one simply has to remember the United Nations general assembly runs on Democratic Principles namely the Majority rule and guess what.
Take some sixty odd Islamic nations add in a goodly percentage of corrupt third world dictators and or corrupt regimes many of whom have aligned with China, Remember them, The Communist Regime responsible for at least 100 Million deaths and counting and add that to Stalins evil purges of some sixty million victims and only a fool would trust the United Nations a corrupt organisation that has never as a body stood up against Evil.

Oh yes some a few Western States as members of the UN have stood against evil but all are fast becoming less able to field effective power against evil as we see with the self described Islamic State.
Islam we must never forget was the ally of the Nazi Regime and fielded well over half a million Soldiers for Allah and the Nazi regime with two full divisions of the Handschar Division of the SS operating in the South Eastern sectors of Europe around the alkans during WW2 where they were responsible for the murders of some Fourty Thousand Catholics and many many tens of thousands of ethnic non Muslims in the area, Bill Clinton was a Traitor to christianity during the War of the early 1990’s aiding and abetting the Muslim side.

Beware the Left and warn the right side of Politics serve the people honestly and do not betray the people to Islamic Invaders any longer
