Frequently Asked Questions
Q. How much does it cost to host a Cornwall Alliance Conference?
A. Costs to the host organization are negotiable and can vary depending on location, size of the organization, and time of the conference. We will do all we can to make it affordable.
Typically, we ask the host to cover the speakers’ travel, lodging, and meals plus an honorarium of $750 per speaker and a payment of $1,500 to the Cornwall Alliance.
Q. What is required of the host organization in addition to location and technical support for the conference?
A. Cornwall Alliance asks for host organizations to allow us to offer educational materials on a suggested-donation basis and have a volunteer assistant at the resource table. We also request the ability to take up a freewill offering for the Cornwall Alliance, in addition to encouraging guests to subscribe to our email newsletter and to consider supporting us with ongoing donations.
Q. Are there any marketing requirements for hosting the conference?
A. Cornwall Alliance requests that the host organization publicize the event at least four times starting at least 60 days in advance through its normal communications channels to its members and community. We can help in producing the event registration form and will publicize it through our own channels as well.
