Heavenly Father, we know that the poor of our world are close to your heart.  You told us, “Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward them for what they have done.” Please give me sensitivity to the poor in my city, nation and world, so I will have your heart for them, and your mind.  Give me wisdom regarding how to channel the resources that you entrust me to steward.  Teach me when and how to use time, abilities, funds, influence, so that you may be glorified.
