Lord,

I know many are praying for a stop to global warming with the strong belief that we are damaging the environment by our use of fossil fuels. But I believe those fuels have been provided to us as a means to minimize human suffering and to act as a bridge to the time when technology will be able to provide free energy to all peoples and every society on earth.

My prayers are for protection from the potential of a cooling earth. I pray for wisdom to be provided to our leaders that they will begin to understand that their current policies only exacerbate the potential for human suffering and that they must make plans for potential cooling. It is cooling that will cause the greatest suffering and it takes very little to limit the growing season to a dangerous degree, as well as dramatically increase the need for heating to save the lives of those dependent on heating during extreme cold. Please awaken the wisdom of our leaders so that they will realize this potential and make plans to minimize the danger to our socioeconomic health and well-being.

Finally, please protect us from those whose religious beliefs have no patience for those that believe differently. These fanatics have been known to murder (cut off the heads) of those that believe differently or, sometimes, try to destroy lives and reputations. In either case, lives are lost and/or ruined only because of a different view of reality. Those that do this are lost souls and in great need of grace and wisdom.
