Dear Father, we come to You in prayer for South Asia.

Lord, bless the South Asian nations and help them achieve a speedy recovery from the on-going coronavirus crisis. Help their economies to bounce back strongly, as income of billions is dependent on the health of economy.

Lord, we remember the great things You‘ve done for this part of the world: beginning with the agricultural revolution in the 1970s and continuing with the fast economic growth of the early 21^st century. You enabled this vast geographical area to support and host more than 1.5 billion people.

Today, we ask You to bless these nations further, with a quick growth rate that alleviates poverty. We pray that You bring in the right kind of investments for the developmental activities in these regions. 

We pray for these countries to stop persecuting Christians and minorities, and that Your grace be upon those who are reviled for Your name. Lord, the densely populated countries of South Asia need Your gospel. The harvest is plenty, so we need You to raise an army of laborers.

We pray that the gospel penetration will establish the rule of law more strongly in these nations. We ask You to strengthen Your church that Your people may boldly serve the society.

Lord, we pray that You will end the corruption that is so rampant in these countries. We pray for the poor in this region to find the right support to build their lives.  We pray against all the trafficking and slavery that exist in South Asia.

Finally, we pray for safety and protection for around 1.3 billion people who live in India. 

We pray in Jesus name. Amen.
