Our Father in heaven: we delight in calling You Father, for the work of Your beloved Son has granted us such a privilege.
We thank You for Your goodness to us. For You have indeed cared for us as a father. You have provided all of our daily needs. We are an undeserving people, yet Your grace has been poured out to us. Make us, we pray You, a thankful people.
We are every day reminded that You are a gracious Father, in that Your common grace is displayed everywhere around us.
We thank You that You care for all of Your creation; for the rain falls on both the unrighteous and the righteous. You restrain evil and You ordain that even those who do not acknowledge You are, in their daily endeavors, led to subdue the earth.
And so Lord, we pray that You daily have us sing Your praises with thanksgiving for your grace to us, for Your great
salvation ordained for Your people, and for the glory of common grace.
