Anthropogenic climate change is real. It is not a an existential threat—pace Greenpeace, the Climate Action Network, and the world’s most famous climate scientist, 18-year-old Greta Thunberg, who demand a hundred-trillion-dollar makeover of the global energy infrastructure to achieve a fraction of a degree of global temperature reduction at the end of this century.
COVID-19 is real. It is not an existential threat—pace the WHO, the CDC, and your local mayor or school board, who demand multi-trillion-dollar losses to the global economy through lockdowns, universal administration of “vaccines” with frequent serious side effects including death, and masking of all elementary and secondary school students though the survival rate for these ages is over 99.99205%.
But government agents, corporations that stand to gain immensely by spreading fears of global warming and COVID, and activists the world over insist they are existential threats! They must be dealt with—immediately!
EXCEPT, that now the giant United Nations global climate summit set for early November in Glasgow, England, to deal with one crisis is in jeopardy because of the other.
The Washington Post reported Tuesday, “A coalition of activists from around the globe on Tuesday called for the postponement of a major United Nations climate summit this fall in Scotland, saying a combination of vaccine inequity, exorbitant lodging costs and the ongoing coronavirus pandemic could exclude important voices—particularly those of people from small and developing nations hit hardest by global warming.”
The Post continued:
According to the activists, the danger is that those countries “most deeply affected by the climate crisis and those countries suffering from the lack of support by rich nations in providing vaccines will be left out of the talks and be conspicuous in their absence,” Tasneem Essop, executive director of the Climate Action Network, a collection of hundreds of nonprofit and nongovernmental advocacy groups across 130 countries, said in a statement.
“There has always been an inherent power imbalance within the UN climate talks, and this is now compounded by the health crisis,” she added.
Oh, well, let the two sides battle it out. Meanwhile, the world would do well to get back to normal—and sanity—with regard to both energy policy and health policy, and quickly.

Glasgow is in Scotland.
Scotland is not in England.
Scotland and England are in the United Kingdom.
